What do Bexhill Lions do?

Bexhill Lions contribute to the welfare of the local community, but there’s more to it than that.

Bexhill Lions organise a number of fund raising activities throughout the year, collecting generous donations from Bexhill residents and visitors.

These funds are then used mainly to respond to specific immediate local needs.

Recent examples include contributing towards special equipment for the disabled, helping fund respite opportunities for carers, encouraging local youngsters (and some not so young!) to participate in welfare activities in Britain and abroad, supporting those local organisations assisting the needy or disadvantaged, and so on.

We hold events for the less privileged, such as the trips and meals for the elderly, and together with other local Lions Clubs, a “Special Knockout” afternoon enjoyed by all.

Every year Bexhill Lions donate to local Youth organisations to help improve their facilities and encourage the work they do with local youngsters, and support a Peace Poster competition with local schools.
